The OysterHood presents the 5th Annual EMPIRE OYSTER - New York Shellfish Showcase. This year we are pleased to be hosted by Matt Bruck & Chef Hong Thaimee and The McCarren Hotel & Pool in Williamsburg.
Autumn is Prime Oyster Season. We are pleased to offer an extraordinary culinary experience, which features two ways to participate.
The 1st Annual Westchester Oyster Social will be presented by Pernod Richard @ Zachy’s Wine & Liquors in Scarsdale on Saturday, Sept 30th, 2017 from 12-4pm.
The event is free to all who appreciate oysters & champagne. It will feature 8 varieties of Ultra-Premium East & West Coast Oysters to be paired with sparkling wines and Champagnes of G.H. Mumm & Perrier Jouet.
The event will be the grand finale of New York Oyster Week 2017.
PLEASE NOTE: The event is FREE. Access to the store, oysters and champagne is on a first come/first served basis. There is no guest list or RSVP for this event.

Join us from 5-7pm on Thursday, September 28th for an elite oyster experience during New York Oyster Week. Our friends at Empire Oyster will pop up a luxe oyster bar featuring 12 Ultra-Premium East & West Coast Oysters Shucked Live, Served Raw, On The Half-Shell. This “Omakase Style" Service will also feature Empire Oyster’s Accoutrement Premier™ which is a collection of delicious, hande-made sauces and dressings made from scratch just moments before the shucking begins. Guests might also take advantage of an offer to learn how to shuck oysters with Master Mermmelier Kevin Joseph.

Enjoy an extraordinary presentation of oysters and other DelicaSEAS from Chef Jason Avery. Arrive early for an Oyster Hour where ultra-premium East & West Coast oysters will be served raw, on the half shell and paired with Champagne and Spirited Pearls. Then be seated and treated to 5 courses, taking you on a journey from Tidal Creek to Open Ocean, featuring shellfish and fin fish from each habitat. Each course will be paired with fine wines and guests will be guided through the journey by Chef Avery and Master Mermmelier & New York Oyster Week founder Kevin Joseph.
NYOW expands to the "6th Borough": Inspired by the 31 page Special Report on Oysters in the High Summer Edition of Edible New Jersey this event is our first annual and first ever NJ event. It will feature some of the finest oysters grown in The Garden State paired with The Oyster Farmers, a film about some of these oysters and those who produce them.
We welcomed the Wavertree to its new home at Pier 16 last year with a fine fête. In its second of many years there this year we celebrate South Street Seaport Museum’s 5oth Anniversary on its decks. Come join us!
2017 marks the 5th Anniversary of our first Brooklyn Oyster Social. We moved to the waterfront at Brooklyn Bridge Park in 2014 and we’ve never looked back. This year we move south to a stunning new venue at the foot of the Brooklyn Bridge: The brand new 1 Hotel!

When you join us on this day, 100% of the proceeds from these events benefit New York Harbor School & Billion Oyster Project. Portions of tickets are tax deductible. Enjoy the New York Harbor Regatta in the afternoon from aboard one of two classic yachts, as they sail around NY Harbor, following the race. Keep it going though sunset and into the evening on Governor’s Island at The Regatta Bash.
